Who's Sirpa?
Sirpa Kokkinen (b.1982) is a visual artist living and working in Helsinki. Her main artistic focus is abstract painting, but her repertoire also includes works created from various recycled materials. She has gained support for her artistic endeavors by graduating from HEO Visual and Urban Arts degree.
In her paintings Kokkinen uses plethora of colours and different textures, which bring roughness and vividness to the artwork. The frames are created by merging different textures as part of the work.
